Haines Hall began his illustration career at Patterson & Sullivan in 1925 and continued working through the 1960s.
His ability to master multiple artistic styles made him an invaluable addition to the studio. He created the work on
the left, and the scrollwork of the cover on the right was inked by Patterson who later invited Hall
to become his partner in 1939.
